Let’s eat Shrimp: Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. @Greenbelt, Makati

It’s been our 9 months staying in Makati, and we are just passing by this restaurant every time we are going to Greenbelt. There are plenty of restaurants to choose around the area and we are having a hard time which restaurant should we dine in for. Our “date nights” is all about eating and exploring restaurants, and that’s us 🙂

The theme of the restaurant is inspired by the movie “Forrest Gump“

Restaurant Interior

Sooo…the moment you enter Bubba Gump you will be embarked on a fishing-boat-themed setting.  It was my first time to come here and my eyes was so busy looking around the decorations, which is quite interesting.

 

Various simple memorabilia’s from the movie “Forrest Gump” at the embellish restaurant from the walls, ceilings and tables.

SERVICE MATTERS? You don’t need to raise your hand to ask, just flip the table sign.

Vast menu, showcasing wide selection of great options. Let’s highlight here the most anticipating in their menu the seafood!!! especially the shrimp..

 

 

Yin Yang Shrimp Salad- Php 495

We start off the session by eating this freshly prepared salad, the sweetness of it give the salad a kick, complement with wonton strips give this whole thing into perfection.

Shrimper’s Net Catch- Php 770

We picked Cajun for the flavor. I have the same comment for this one, yeah! It’s quite pricey but nothing special. There’s no twist in this dish.

 

 

Kentucky Bourbon Shrimp Skewers- Php 540

When they placed this one on our table, the smell of it was calling me. So, I know it was freshly grilled, added with coleslaw and mashed potato.

Roe Bourbon Bar and Restaurant @Salcedo Village, Makati

We were not looking for a night out place to chill, but a place to dine in. But this restaurant says it both- you can dine in, at the same time you can have a sip of fancy wines or local beers.

Their bar is boisterous, this is the one thing makes the restaurant so special because it gives you a relaxing vibe. Just a perfect combination of lighting’s which really give you the taste of bar experience.

 

Ground Floor

As you can see, the place is not that spacious. They only have few tables, so make sure to make a reservation before you visit this bar and restaurant. We went at 6pm and there’s only few customers, but I heard and I overlooked that they have plenty of reservation from 8pm onward.

 

2nd Floor

2nd Floor is perfect for group of friends. They have the huge couch for large pax of customers. We asked one of the staff if he can show us upstairs and he was very friendly to give us a quick tour. The place is perfect- we have an idea now where to go if we have friends gathering.

 

Yema Smoothie- Php 200

Fruit Smoothies such as Mango, Watermelon, Orange etc is very common but this Yema smoothie is rare, so… we give it a try!!! and boooomm! We liked it.. It serves in a big wine glass. This is worth to share!!

 

Rockefeller Oysters (6pcs) – Php 299

We shouldn’t order this one, because some restaurants often disappoint us with the freshness and sizes when it comes to ordering seafood like oyster but because this one is in their recommended menu we give it a try!!! This is totally different from the others- you will taste the freshness of the oyster and it will really satisfy you.

 

Bourbon Wings- Php 349

Wings that has a tasty glaze, not so sweet but just PERFECT ! The common taste of the chicken wings serves at the restaurant are just salt and peppery taste but this one has an amazing taste on its sauce.

 

Juicy Ribs (solo) – Php 319

Solo is good enough for sharing(2pax) with the choice of sauce: BBQ, Hickory or Cajun and orders comes with coleslaw, fries and choice of java rice or mashed potato. This is satisfying and delicious plate of meaty, moist and juicy feel in your mouth. And the creamy mashed potato is a perfect fusion with it.

 

Overall.. I/We SATISFIED 🙂

Food Heaven!!Vikings Luxury Buffet @Jazz Mall

This branch has no exemption, because they feature an amazing and modern Italian-themed. Spacious and more organised buffet stations- perfect for any occasion. The array of their dishes will not disappoint you. I had an unforgettable dining experience at Vikings SM Jazz Mall.

Since I moved to Makati Philippines, I only knew few restaurants. If you are just new in the city you just moved in- you’ll definitely go out and survey around. So, one day we decided to check out what’s inside the Jazz Mall, upon wandering around we saw this elegant restaurant- Vikings Luxury Buffet. You can see the lavish architecture from the outside of the restaurant.

Since my bf birthday is coming, we decided to celebrate his birthday in this restaurant. The good thing is- they have promo to Celebrants can eat for free ON THE DAY of their birthday on both lunch and dinner, as long as accompanied by ONE FULL PAYING ADULT. That’s right!! That’s why we need to pay ONLY for my bill..

Vikings branch @Jazz Mall, Makati has an Italian-themed, I just love how extravagance this branch is- from the Italian street signs, tables and chairs, chandelier, decorations and a lot more.

Lets check out their food ….YUM YUM YUM!!

It might not the best sushi, but you will definitely love the various sushi’s in here..

Do you like hotpot/steamboat/shabu shabu? They have too.. They have 4 options of Soup such as Sinigang soup, Satay Soup and forgot the 2 more soups.

They will give you this pot for your stemaboat/shabu shabu

You can make your own nachos if you doesn’t want to skip your Appetizer…

Food for the god’s? they are so cute.. hehe

I like the sliced dragon fruits- they are very sweet.
